When any website is typed into the address bar, it is sent into the Domain Name Server. The DNS take a look at the address name and matches it to an IP. Computers see addresses and IPs. For example, http://holycross.bc.ca is matched to 23.45.239.70. The Tracert is the path that is taken to the destination IP address or website. It is the command given that takes a browser to the site and changes with different companies.
